Stop # 1 - Bonny Hills

First stop is Bonny Hills, a quaint little town an hour south of Port Macquarie.

The caravan park is a Big 4, equipped with a water park, multiple pools, a Putt Putt course and go carts to ride around the park.  The park is adjacent to the beach, with a side gate providing easy access from the park.

Jackie had organised a bunch of families from Roselea PS to come camping with us, the kids and parents had a blast for the 4 nights we stayed there.  The park is well equipped, with excellent kitchen and BBQ areas.

Meals were predominantly cooked on the BBQ, with Pizza being ordered one night.  After pizza the kids settled in to watch a movie outside the caravan.

Jackie decided to put her PT training to good use, with the kids and parents joining in a session one morning.  I'd just been for a run on the beach, my first in many moons, so I was struggling before Jackie put everyone through their paces.  I was sore for the next few days, walking rather gingerly and feeling every muscle in my legs and glutes.

After 4 fun nights with our school friends and families, it was time to bid them farewell and head off on our adventure.  We will miss them all, however we will not miss the 5:30am wake up calls from the local Kookaburras.
