Fabulous Lake argyle,( even more fabulous because Grandpa was there!! Thank's Grandpa!!!) - By Grace

We got to Lake Argyle and we were VERY excited, because Grandpa was coming to visit us. We asked for a spot near Grandpa's cabin, but we got one of the furthest away, oh well, it was good exercise running or bike riding in between the cabin and our caravan!

SOOO freezing
We started unpacking the caravan, but Jai slammed the door and Jai and I got locked in for about 1 hour. Eventually dad climbed through the window and unscrewed everything, then he had to put it back together again. While dad was fixing the door, we, or should I say Jai, Emma and I went in the FREEZING infinity pool!! It was too cold for mum! Grandpa didn't arrive until later that night, but we were able to use his cabin before he arrived so we all had a nice hot shower!

On the next day we hired a boat, but on the boat you were only allowed 4 people in it.   Jai, myself and Emma counted as 1.5 adults, so mum and Grandpa took it in turns on the boat. Once we were on the boat we went fishing we caught 5 Silver Cobbler (Catfish that don’t taste bad). They were pretty easy to catch, we put bait on the line, cast, and in seconds we got nibbles!! After 5 hours on the boat we went back, had a quick dinner and listened to the same person who we listened to in Kununurra (Steve Case).

On our 3rd day Grandpa woke up early to go on a flight across Lake Argyle and the Bungle Bungles. We just chilled around, did more of our 1000 piece puzzle and made apple sorbet (using the thermomix)! It tasted like lemon sorbet, but it was still yummy! In the afternoon Grandpa surprised mum and dad by booking them in for a helicopter flight across Lake Argyle for the next day.

We were so close to finishing!

On the next day we didn't do anything until mum and dad went on the helicopter flight across Lake Argyle.

They're taking off! Bye!!
On our last day we went on the "Best of Lake Argyle" cruise. We first went looking for some Rock Wallabies, then we had Subway wraps and rolls for lunch. We saw lots of wildlife including, THOUSANDS of fish, HEAPS of birds, rock wallabies, fresh water crocs, birds of prey and more. We stopped at an island called Remote Island, where we fossicked for zebra rock, we got some really nice ones. Last of all we swam, watched the sun set, and got food on the water.

With Grandpa on the cruise

It's only a freshy, I wasn't that close I zoomed!

Lake Argyle was great, but you really need to spend more than a day at this fabulous place.
