The first month on our trip around Australia - by Grace & a little bit by Jai

We are almost 4 weeks into our big trip around amazing Australia. It's been awesome, we're loving it. We have liked the camp sites, all stops, playgrounds, making new friends, and all the places we explored. We have hated the mozzies and midges, you should see us, it looks like we all have chicken pox!

We have stayed at Bonnie hills with 9 friendly families from Roselea PS, it was a Big 4 caravan park, so it had all the facilities, it was the best! We went to the beach a couple of times, Jai got stung by a blue bottle.

The next stop was Iluka, it is very quiet & not much to do, compared to the Big 4 we had just come from. But it did have lovely facilities, and beautiful murals on the toilets. We went on a ferry to Yamba to see our friends Ashton & Alanna, we had a great time there. We stayed at Iluka for 3 nights.

After 2 stops we went to Noosa. We went fishing, but had no luck, however we caught lots of bait. Dad decided to take us on a 9.5 kms bush walk. It was NOT fun!  On the way back, Dad said "lets do the short cut". Well it WASN'T A SHORT CUT! It was wwwaaayy longer than a short cut, it took 3 hours, and we missed lunch. Aaaarghhh!

Then we stayed at Seventeen Seventy. We were surprised because our friends came too. Their names are Sammi & Maddie, we had a great time. We made and tried to sell things on the beach, only our parents bought anything. We made $10 in total, we went to the beach & Mum did some of her fitness things (PT).

 

We headed to Mackay, we stayed at a Big 4, we loved it, one of my favourite stops.  We went to the shops and got aniMALLS [toy animals that move that you can ride on].  We went to an AWSOME lagoon.

On the way to Airlie beach we went  Cedar Creek falls, it was so majestic, but the water was sssoo cold. We finally arrived at Airlie beach, we stayed in a resort called Peppers. On one of the days we went on a cruise, it was awesome, we went from Hamilton island to Whitehaven beach, we had an awesome and long day, but not good weather. The resort had a spa bath, a pool and a buffet breakfast, we had a GREAT time.

Time to go to Townsville. We get back in the car and on the road. Yay, we finally arrive at Townsville, it is a lovely caravan park. We unpack, then check out the place. In the next couple of days we go in the pool, we make friends and play with them, we also watch a movie with them, their names are Ash and Felix. We love it here, we don't want to leave! On the last day we go to the Labour day parade and learn facts about a turtle. We finely head to Lucinda, I wonder what surprises are waiting for us there?
